Gladys Jean Pacillo, age 92, of Battle Creek, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2015. She was born January 17, 1923 in Otsego, Michigan the daughter of William Earl and Priscilla Grace (Holmes) Fahey. Gladys graduated from Comstock High School in 1941 and went on to work at the Kellogg Company for 27 years retiring in 1985. She was a local artist who had paintings displayed at various locations in Battle Creek and was a longtime member of the Battle Creek Society of Artists. On July 11, 1942 Gladys was married to John B. Pacillo in Kalamazoo, Michigan and he preceded her in death on March 19, 2001. She was also preceded by a son: John K. Pacillo on June 3, 2006; two brothers: Everett Fahey, Robert Fahey and one sister: Alice Goodacre. Gladys is survived by two children: Brian (Stephanie) Pacillo and Cathleen (Jon) Liebrandt both of Battle Creek; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
