Geraldine Laird-Eakin

Geraldine F. Laird-Eakin, Age 96, Of Battle Creek, Died Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at Calhoun County Medical Care Center. Geraldine was born on August 31, 1919, in Hopkins, MI, the daughter of Charles and Vera (Ruehle) Duryea. Geraldine had been employed with Lockheed and then Post Cereals for 32 years. She was a member of Bedford Eastern Star and the Post 25 Year Club. She enjoyed bowling and golf. Surviving is a daughter, Sharon Crockatt; 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; a brother, Cleon Duryea. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Laird; 3 brothers and 4 sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, December 31, 2015, at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service. Entombment will be at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice. www.henryfuneralhome.org
