Geraldine Konkright

Geraldine L. Konkright, age 81, of Battle Creek, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2016 at The Battle Creek Manor. She was born May 6, 1935 in New Carlisle, Ohio the daughter of Forrest and Myrtle (Jamison) Grimm and was a 1954 graduate of Tecumseh High School in New Carlisle. On July 10, 1954 she married Ottie L. Konkright in Bowersville, Ohio, who survives. Also surviving are three sons: Daniel Konkright of Lynchburg, VA, Stanley Konkright of Battle Creek and Keith Konkright of Scotts; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two sisters: Joann Kepler of Enon, Ohio and Phyllis Weynschenk of Fairborn, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Konkright enjoyed cooking, bicycling, flower arranging and spending time with her family. She was a member of Sonoma United Methodist Church, and was responsible for the flower arrangements used to decorate the church. Funeral services will be held at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home on Monday, December 5, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Bruce Kintigh of Birchwood United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
