Gerald Perry

Gerald S. Perry, age 85, of Battle Creek, passed away peacefully on March 15 ^th , 2022. He was born on January 14 ^th , 1937 in Battle Creek, to Anthony and Iva Perry (Burt). Jerry graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1956 and went on to serve in the Army Reserve for 6 years, until he was discharged in 1963. He was employed at Bill Knapps for over 30 years, before retiring in 1991.

Jerry is survived by his daughters: Margo Morgan and Sabreena Elliott (Tom), his grandchildren: Jackie (David) Pittsinbarger, Josie Elliott, Dereck (Sam) Sly, and Paige Morgan, and his great granddaughters: Kynleigh and Reece Sly. He was proceeded in death by his wife: Jacqueline Perry, whom he was united in marriage with on May 14 ^th , 1958, his son-in-law: Keith Morgan, and his granddaughter: Megan Morgan.

He loved spending time with his family and friends while hanging out by his pool. He was an avid music lover and collected all things Elvis. Jerry loved animals, most recently, his dog Hi-C. He enjoyed playing on his pool table downstairs, and making people laugh. He was known for his quick wit and his contagious smile. He will be remembered as a very special person to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
