Frances J. “Joan” Hart, Age 79, Of Ceresco, Died Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Verona Adult Foster Care, Marshall. Joan was born on May 25, 1932, in Battle Creek, the daughter of William F. and Ruth E. (Ranger) Walkinshaw. She had been a lifelong resident of the area graduating from Bellevue High School in 1949. On May 31, 1953, she was united in marriage to Leonard G. Hart who survives. Joan was employed at Union Steam Pump for 5 years, and then worked part-time at Memorial Park Cemetery and The Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. She was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church and a member of the United Methodist Women. She was a campfire leader for the Campfire Girls and also enjoyed genealogy, knitting, traveling, square dancing and was an avid reader. Surviving are children, Christina “Tina” (Dr. Donald) Foster of Carthage, NY, Teresa (Doug) Wilder of Eaton, IN and Thomas “Tom” (Lisa) Hart of Elgin, SC; her mother, Ruth Bowen of Battle Creek; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Jack Walkinshaw. Visitation will be held Sunday from 3 to 6:00 p.m. at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 2, 2012, at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church with The Rev Dr. Robert J. Mayo and The Rev. Dr. James M. Gysel officiating.
