Frances E. Allen, 84, of Battle Creek passed away Friday May 25, 2012 at The Oaks at Northpointe Woods. She was born on March 25, 1928 in Salyersville, KY to Millard F. and Martha (Arnett) Anderson. Frances was united in marriage on March 13, 1948 to Hyram B. Allen. She was employed by Post Cereals in Battle Creek for 32 years, retiring in 1983.
She is survived by her husband, Hyram, a nephew, Larry Allen, two nieces, Trudy Hall and Cinda McGehee. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Dona, Dedia, George, Farish, and a sister, Floria Dyer. She was a member of the Post 25 Year Club. Frances enjoyed quilting and spending time with her friends and neighbors.
Services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday May 30, 2012 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Family will receive friends 1 hour before service. Interment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens
