Floyd Elliott

Floyd E. Elliott, age 88, of Battle Creek, passed away Tuesday March 17, 2015 at his home. He was born December 30, 1926 in Evarts, Kentucky the son of Henry and Atha (Miller) Elliott. Floyd served in the U.S. Navy during WWII from 1944 to 1946 and upon his discharge began working at Clark Equipment Company from which he retired on August 30, 1980. He was a life member of Ira Beck Lodge #503 F. & A.M., a 32nd Degree Mason, member of the Shriners and past patron of the Eastern Star. On November 9, 1947 he was married to Jean Marie (Baird) in Battle Creek, who survives. Also surviving are four sons: Richard, Robert and Gary Elliott all of Texas and Thomas Elliott of Battle Creek; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Henry Elliott and mother Atha Smith. Graveside services will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
