Faye Eileen Coulson

Faye Eileen Coulson, born October 21, 1948 passed peacefully at her home in Albion with her family at her side on December 30, 2024.

Born in Wheeling West Virginia to Olive and Gilmore Irvin, Faye grew up in Wellsburg on Bethany Pike. She graduated from Wellsburg High School in 1966.

She found her career at The Wheeling News-Register/The Intelligencer, in Wheeling West Virginia, as their advertising layout editor and enjoyed 43 years there with coworkers that became a family to her. She loved baking goodies to take to the office.

In 2016 health concerns led her to move to Michigan to live with her niece Pam. She enrolled in PACE and enjoyed attending the day program they offered. It was at PACE she met many new friends but most special to her was her gentleman Bob. Seeing them together brought smiles to everyone. A cherished day was them being King and Queen of the Senior Prom. They were also the Farkle King and Queen of the center.

She enjoyed bingo and Farkle at the center but it was the friends there that gave her best days. She truly was a social butterfly. Everyone loved her and her presence will missed.

She enjoyed family gatherings that always included bonfires to roast hotdogs. Her favorite thing to do. She loved being with her niece and the grandchildren most of all.

Faye was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband John and her cherished brother Kurt.

Left to cherish memories of Faye are her niece Pam (Bill) McCoy, her beloved Bob Tucker, her best childhood friends Janis Cross and Kathy Berdine, dear friends Pam Bennett and Deborah Samons, aunt Pam (Gary) Patterson, and many great and great great nieces and nephews, cousins and her dear friends.

Faye requested no formal services be held. The family will host a bonfire/hotdog roast in her honor later this spring.

The family would like to acknowledge and thank some very special aides that were more like family throughout Faye's life in Michigan. Brandy, Nella, Kim and Spring you always brought a smile to her face and she loved each of you so much. Thank you for making her days brighter with your visits. And Dr Raphelson for his amazing bedside manner during difficult days. We will never forget the laughter you all brought with your visits.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to All Species Kinship, an animal rescue and outreach for chained dogs in Battle Creek. Faye's love for animals of all kinds was her passion in life.
