Evelyn Glassner

December 20, 1920 — February 12, 2014

Evelyn Parker-Glassner, age 93 of Battle Creek, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at The Legacy at The Oaks. She was born December 20, 1920 in Bellevue, Michigan the daughter of Mark and Alta (Moore) Berry. Evelyn worked at the Kellogg Company for over thirty years as a quality control inspector. She was a member of Central Christian Church, loved to play both shuffleboard and bingo and for over twenty years, she had wintered in Ellenton, Florida. Surviving are two children: Tom (Linda) Parker of Battle Creek and Linda (Doug) Sackett of Florida; six grandchildren: Tracy Gogan, Terry Seedorff, Greg Sackett, Amy Shupp, Sherry Feld and Mike Parker; eleven great-grandchildren; three sisters: Fern Starr of Charolotte, Carol Ann Newberry of Battle Creek and Katherine Anderson of Battle Creek; one brother: Frank Berry of Oklahoma, many nieces and nephews. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands: Earl Parker and Milton Glassner; three sisters: Mable VanOrman, Frances Root and Helen Manning and one brother, James Berry. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with interment to follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association, Susan G.
