Eunice L. Sands, 103, of Battle Creek passed away Monday July 8, 2013 at Battle Creek Manor.
She was born on March 28, 1910 in Lee Twp., Calhoun County, MI to Osmer and Louise (Jablonski) Russell.
Eunice was owner/operator of the Swan Beauty Shop. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church. Eunice enjoyed traveling, painting, and crafts.
She is survived by her son, Fred (Irene) Herr, of Bellevue, daughter-in-law, Barbara Herr, of Middleville, five grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and nine great great grandchildren.
Eunice was preceded in death by her son, Russell W. Herr, her first husband, Loyal Herr, husband, Vail Sands, a great grandson, Todd Winningham, four brothers, and two sisters.
Family will receive friends Wednesday from 6pm to 8pm at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Services will be held 12 noon Thursday July 11, 2013 at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens Chapel with Pastor Steven Olmstead officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to Battle Creek Manor, Activities Room, or Pleasantview Family Church, Kitchen Fund.
