Esther Weeks King

Esther Eulah Cousins Weeks King, age 78, of Zeeland, MI and formerly of Battle Creek, died Monday, March 2, 2015. She was born September 25, 1936 in Barry County, Michigan the daughter of Jay Eugene and Evah Blanche (Silsby) Cousins. Esther was a graduate of Hastings High School. She was married to Robert I. King in 1987 and he preceded her in death on September 27, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her parents; step-mother Helen King; brothers: Clarence and Eugene Cousins; half sister Clara Garringar Newton; sister in law Judy Dodge; father in law R. Russell King; brother in law Richard “Rick” King and son Mark Allen Weeks. Esther is survived by her son Ernest Jay Weeks of Zeeland; daughter Tracy Lee Weeks of Toccoa, GA; two step-sons: Steven and Chris King; two step-daughters: Karen Thomas and Debra (Jeff) Goehring; seven grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; two sisters in law: Geraldine Bonogofsky and Romona King; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. A private interment will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
