Esther A. Klammer, Age 91, Of Battle Creek, Passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Residence surrounded by her family and friends. Esther Bisnett Arnold Dubman Klammer was the middle of 11 children born in Keeler, MI, to John and Ogzena Bisnett on September 8, 1921. She had four brothers and sisters. She married Ed Arnold in 1941 and had two children, Jim and Gini. Her second marriage was to Al Dubman, who died in 1974. They briefly lived in St. Joseph until they moved to Battle Creek in 1961. In 1979, she married Dick Klammer. In 1987, they moved from Battle Creek to Southwest Ohio to work in a family business. In 2004 they relocated back to Battle Creek where Dick died ten months later. She was an outstanding bowler, well known throughout her bowling career in the Benton Harbor/St. Joe area, then in Battle Creek. Esther is survived by her children, Jim (Linda) Arnold, Gini Arnold Haffner (Denny McComb), daughters of her heart, Marilyn Johnson and Sherry O’Marrah; grandchildren, Michael, Valerie, Dan, Sonya and Allison; great and great-great grandchildren; her sisters, Norine and Nina. She was preceded in death by eight siblings, nieces and nephews plus two grandsons, Steven and Brian. Because of her warm, loving heart she will be missed by all who were touched by her graciousness. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4 to 7:00 p.m., at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m., Monday, October 15, 2012, at the funeral home with The Rev. Travis Davis of Family Altar Chapel officiating. Interment will be at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
