Ernest H. Garrett Jr.

Ernest Garrett of Battle Creek passed away at his home on March 7th, 2023. He was born November 13th, 1945 to Violet Bloss and Ernest Garrett Sr in Battle Creek, MI. He was married to Carolyn Garrett on September 18th, 1965. He was a hard worker at United Steel and Wire for many years where he made several friends that followed him through his life journey. He had three children whom he loved immensely and several grandchildren who brightened his life. He was always there for those he loved. He was always looking for an opportunity to help others, whether it was with a home to stay at or a laugh on a rough day. Ernest loved going bowling, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. He was proceeded in death by the love of his life, Carolyn Garrett, his daughter Sherilyn Garrett, his parents, two brothers, George, and Fred. He is survived by his three children, Steve (Amy) Garrett, Sarah Garrett, and Amy (Donnie) Robinson. 8 grandchildren Osiris, Caitlyn, Kiara, Nevaeh, Khloee, Josiah, Jakari and Zuri with an additional one on the way and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. His life will be celebrated at a later date.
