Ellwyn S. Warren, age 89, of Battle Creek, passed away on May 9, 2018 at the Glenn Arbor Hospice Residence. He was born on October 10, 1928 in Leonidas, Michigan the son of Frank and Velda (Rench) Warren. Ellwyn graduated from Lakeview High School in 1946 and worked as a brick mason from 1947 to 1991. He was united in marriage to Barbara Chubinski on June 15, 1950 at St Philip Catholic Church, she preceded him in death. Ellwyn was a member at St. Philip Catholic Church, volunteer EMT with Charleston Township, wood-cock bander, boy scout leader, Baseball and softball coach. His hobbies included hunting and fishing, woodworking for family members, square dancing, and spending time at his cabin near Frederick, Michigan. Surviving are his children; Bruce (Pam) Warren of Marshall, Ruth (Al) Cruce of Wyoming, Michael (Patty) Warren of Battle Creek, Donna (John) McGlashen of East Leroy, Lee (Shannon) Warren of Coldwater, Dale (Jan) Warren of Phoenix, Arizona, brother in law; Stan (Cheryl) Chubinski of Battle Creek, sister-in-law; Lou Bashaw of Kalamazoo, sixteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, May 14, 2018 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Memorial services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at the funeral home, Fr. Jose Haro celebrant. Private inurnment to take place at Memorial Park Cemetery.
