Elizabeth Ann Wright, 31 of Battle Creek passed away unexpectedly at home on the morning of Sunday November 6, 2011 after a long battle with illness. Liz was born in Battle Creek on January 24, 1980 and graduated from Harper Creek High School in 1998, later attended Grand Valley State University. She was employed at McGonigle’s Restaurant. Liz was known for her warm smile and her kind and gentle spirit. Family was very important to Liz, and although she had no children of her own, to every child around her she was “Aunt Lizzie”, and no child could want for a better aunt in their life. Liz is survived by her father, Henry Wright, mother, Kathy Wright, brother, Scott (Tamara) Wright, sister, Rebecca (Travis) Marshall, maternal grandmother, Joyce VanBlarcum, nieces and nephews, Lance, Aryn, Maddison, and Devin, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Liz was and is beloved to so many people including friends and family, and especially so to close friends Danah McDaniel and all of the Clothier family and Becky Daniels and all of the Daniels and Eberhard families. A memorial luncheon will be held at the American Legion Post #298 Hall at 228 N. 20th St. in Springfield on Thursday November 10, 2011 from 1:30pm to 4:00pm. Please do not bring food to the memorial.
