Elizabeth J. “Betty” Noga, Age 96, Of Battle Creek, Died Sunday, January 4, 2015, at the Oaks at Northpointe Woods. Betty was born on December 20, 1918, in Battle Creek, the daughter of Lionel and ArCenoe (Merwin) Huver. She had been a lifelong resident of the area graduating from Battle Creek Central High School in 1937. She entered nurses training at Community Hospital in 1938. She worked at the American Legion Hospital, Howell State Hospital, Percy Jones, Elm Street Hospital, Fort Custer State Home and retired from the Ypsilanti Regional Center in 1981. She was a life member of the V.F.W. auxiliary #565. She enjoyed being with her family and grandchildren, bird watching, doll collecting and loved nature and all God’s creatures. She married Anthony S. Noga on April 18, 1942; he preceded her in death in 1971. Surviving are sons, Michael A. Noga of Plymouth, MA, and Donald J. Noga of Battle Creek; 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Dr. Charles Huver; foster sisters, Nannette Rainey and Patricia Owen. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, January 9, 2015, at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with The Rev. Dr. James M. Gysel officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Humane Society of South Central MI, The Seventh Day Adventist Tabernacle of Battle Creek or the Battle Creek Area Catholic Schools. www.henryfuneralhome.org
