Elijah Williams

On October 26, 2019, the life of Elijah (Eli) J. Williams,23, was mercilessly stolen from him in the city of Battle Creek. Eli, the son of Desiree (Maun) Anderson and Diondre Sanders is a graduate of BCCHS. He loved old school cars, fishing and spending time with his family and friends, especially his nephew Rondrell M. Porter Jr. (Butbut) and Niece Charly B.   Eli is survived by his parents, Desiree and Diondre; his sisters: Alexus Williams, Luretha Amerson, Andrea Sanders, and Jerrica (Rico) Joplin; brothers: Glenn (Kris) Amerson, Ja’Tai Nicholas Refano Cummings, Mariano House, and Diondre, Dre’vion, Dre’Shawn, Dre’linn, and Doderus Sanders, Shaundel Wyrick, Rondrell Porter, Tyrin Mosher, and Karl Amerson II; grandparents: Donald L.  Maun and Dora Lee Sanders and Luretha Robinson, Deborah McCraw, Ramona Potter and Linda Maun; aunts: Chelle Boyd, Ann Boyd, Tonya Stratton, Glendoria Bridges, Venus Mitchell, Jameela (Scales) Maun and Ebony Amerson; and uncles: Donald Maun Jr., Justin Davidson, Antonio (Reesie) Sanders, Shaundel (Tushay), Kareem Scales, Brian King Sr., Sanders, Scott, Joshua, and Caleb Mitchell, Malcom and Don McCraw, Lamont Foster, and Lamont Foster Jr.  He was proceeded in death by his grandmother Christina Davidson, Uncle Samuel (Main) Boyd, and stepfather Karl D. Amerson.  Memorial donations in his honor can be made to the Wattles Park Men’s Club or the Boys and Girls Club, both of Battle Creek. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2019 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services.  Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at the funeral home, Dr. Rev. Craig Tatum officiating.  Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.henryfuneralhome.org
