Edward L. Drewno, age 94, of Battle Creek, passed away on February 27, 2023, at The Legacy at The Oaks. He was born on July 24, 1928 in Bronson, Michigan, the son of Stanley and Josephine (Tomaczewski) Drewno. Edward graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1948. He was a sheet metal worker at Post Cereal, retiring after 37 years of service. He was a member of the Post 25 year club and St. Jospeh Catholic Church. Edward enjoyed collecting stamps and coins, traveling, working in his yard, and taking on handyman projects. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was united in marriage to Joanne Mason in June of 1954, she preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were brothers; Stanley, Matthew and John Drewno, sisters; Frances Noga, Josephine Paliga, Anna Sobecki, and Sophie Frontczak. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 3, 2023 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services, with the Recitation of The Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Saturday March 4, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fr. Jacob Thomas, celebrant. Interment with military honors will follow the mass at Memorial Park Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Edward & Joanne Drewno Scholarship Fund, St. Joseph Catholic Church or Disabled American Veterans.
