Edna Odell

Edna Odell, age 95, of Battle Creek, passed away on June 23, 2021, at Advantage Living Center in Battle Creek.   She was born on April 3, 1926, the daughter of Alfred and Violet Hines.  Edna moved to Battle Creek in 1952.  She was employed as a delivery driver for the Battle Creek Shopper for 41 years.  Edna enjoyed shopping and garage sales, and hosting her annual Superbowl party.  Her true love was spending time with her family and her devotion to God.  She was united in marriage on January 7, 1983, to Richard “Cobra” Odell, he preceded her in death.  Also preceding her in death are her parents, son; David Hill, and three sisters and a brother.  She is survived by her children; Carol Lake, Ken Hill, Richard (Linda) Hill, Scott Hill, Judy David, and Jeff (Chris) Hill all of Battle Creek, twenty six grandchildren, several great and great-great grandchildren.  In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place.  A memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 2, 2021, at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service.  Inurnment to follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Rev.
