Edna Latta

Edna Louise (Campbell) Latta, went to sleep in Jesus, Wednesday January 30th 2013.  Edna turned 89 on January 3rd, born in Battle Creek in 1924 to Earl and Elizabeth (Koenig) Campbell. After attending Battle Creek Academy; Edna married George Elvin Latta on August 11th 1942.  They were married 48 years until he passed on May 5th 1991.  Preceded in death by three brothers, Harry, William, and Arthur Campbell, and two sisters, Bernadine Campbell and Rosemary Carr.  Survived by her younger brother Robert B. (Carol) Campbell and five children, Geraldine (Gerri) Barfelz, Stephen Latta, Judy Carol (Troyl) Anderson, Sandy Barnes, and Deborah (Duane) Carlson, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  Visitation will be held at Richard A. Henry Funeral Home on Sunday February 3 from 5-8 pm where  services will be held Monday February 4 at 11 am.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Battle Creek Tabernacle Church, Battle Creek Academy Worthy Student Fund or the Alzheimer’s Association.
