Doris Korp

Died Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at Calhoun County Medical Care Facility. Doris was born on July 25, 1928, in Battle Creek, the daughter of James  and Cora (Roscoe) Westwood. She had been a lifelong resident of the area and attended Battle Creek Public Schools. She married Robert G. Korp on January 26, 1946. He preceded her in death in 2017. Doris enjoyed traveling to Florida, going to Lux Restaurant and the Pancake House. She volunteered during elections at Bedford Township and was former co-manager at Bedford Hills. Her greatest joy was her kids, grandkids as well as her extended family. Surviving are her children, Jim (Donna) Korp, David (Lucy) Korp, Laura (Dannie) Lewis all of Battle Creek and Sally (Doug Kundtz) Harper of Climax; 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter and a special niece, Janice Egeland. She was preceded in death by brothers, Robert and Donald Westwood and a sister Geraldine Fry. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 11, 2019, at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
