Donna Perske

Donna M. Perske, age 86, of Battle Creek, passed away on November 21, 2017 at her residence.  She was born on June 11, 1931 in Mellon, Wisconsin, the daughter of George and Marion (Mann) Davy.  Donna was a lifelong area resident and a graduate of Battle Creek Central High School.  She was employed for over thirty-six years at Post Cereals, retiring in 1985.  Following retirement, Donna received her real estate license and continued to work at Thompson and Cook Realty.  She was member of the ladies’ auxiliary at the American Legion #298, and celebrated her fellowship in Christ worshiping with the Battle Creek Area New Testament Church.  Donna enjoyed crocheting and knitting, cooking, reading, listening to music, and was described by her family as a “Good Listener.”  She was preceded in death by her parents; George and Marion Davy, husband; Roland Perske, son; Kenneth Perske, daughter; Linda Perske, sisters; Lois and JoAnn; brothers; Bob Davy, Bill Murphy and Walter Davy.  Surviving are her sons; Roland H. (Diane) Perske II of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Steven Perske of Frostburg, Maryland, Timothy Perske of Battle Creek, daughters; Brenda Perske and Melanie Bigelow, both of Battle Creek, twelve grandchildren, seven great- grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.  Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., on Monday, November 27, 2017 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services, where funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, with interment to follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.  Condolences for the family may be left at www.henryfuneralhome.org
