Donna Mudd

Donna Marie Mudd, age 93 of Battle Creek, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2022 comforted by her two daughters. She was born on February 22, 1929 in Homer, MI., the daughter of William and Essa (Slocum) Butler. Donna was one of 14 children, survived by her brother Junior (Lillian) Butler of Springport, MI. Donna graduated from Homer High School, then moved to Battle Creek where she made her home for 70 yrs.  She retired from Eaton Manufacturing, then owned and operated Warehouse Carpet for 13 yrs in Battle Creek with her first husband of 28 yrs, Bernard (Bernie) Kwiatkowski, who preceded her in death.  She was a member of the PNA Club in Battle Creek, and numerous bowling leagues.  Donna enjoyed flower gardening, sewing, bingo, Tiger baseball and the casino, but she especially loved spending time with her family.  Donna was later remarried to William (Jack)  Mudd for 26 yrs, who preceded her in death.  Also preceding her in death were her parents, her daughters; Judy Benfield and Jody Eaton, and stepson; Dennis Mudd. Surviving are her daughters; Julie (Michael Orden) Kwiatkowski of Traverse City, MI., Janice (Douglas McCarthy) Kwiatkowski of Coldwater, MI., stepchildren; Debbie (Steve) Coats, Becky (Judy) Mudd and Nick Mudd, all of Battle Creek, and  Bill Mudd of TX. Donna has 23 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m., on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Pastor Linda Stoddard officiating, with interment to follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  A luncheon will follow, location of which to be announced.
