Donna Ainsworth

Donna Jean Ainsworth, age 69, of Battle Creek, passed away Friday, December 11, 2015. She was born June 28, 1946 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of B.E. and Lorena Mae (Gourley) Rogers. A 1964 graduate of Lakeview High School, she went on to Argubright Business College where she earned an associate degree. Donna had worked at RN EMS as a dispatcher for 15 years and retired from the Hart-Dole-Inouye Federal Center after 25 years of service. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, was an avid reader, enjoyed all types of crafts and liked to camp and ride Dune Buggies with her family. Donna is survived by her children: John Ainsworth, Curt (Sheri) Ainsworth, Dawn (Mike) Bond and Lynn (Matt) Starks; five grandchildren: Melissa, Travis, William, Kelsey and Jay; one sister Bonnie Rhoads; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Catherine Jenkins and sister Glenda VandenBrink. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a gathering of her family and friends will be held Friday, December 18, 2015 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. A private interment will be held at Bedford Cemetery.
