Donald Thomas Niver

Donald Thomas Niver, age 82, of Battle Creek, passed away on January 13, 2025. He was born in Battle Creek, Michigan, the son of Gerald and Marian (Whaley) Niver. Donald was a lifelong area resident; he graduated in 1960 from Battle Creek Central High School. Donald was employed by Post Cereal as a Packaging Machine Operator for over 30 years before retiring. He was a trumpet musician, playing in the band at Battle Creek Central High School. Donald was an avid sports fan and Detroit Lions fan. He loved spending time with his family. He served in the United States Air Force from 1962 to 1966. Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline Niver, parents, and an infant daughter Elizabeth Niver. Surviving are his son, Thomas Niver of Battle Creek, sister, Jeri Boblenz of Sunnyvale, CA., brothers; David (Shirley) Niver of Caledonia, MI., Duane Niver of Bellevue, MI., and several nieces and nephews. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place with a graveside service at Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
