Donald Boakes

Donald Mark Boakes, age 86, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and formerly of Battle Creek, died Thursday, May 28, 2015. He was born June 20, 1928 in Saginaw, Michigan the son of John Lewis and Clara Myrtle (Silver) Boakes. A native of Michigan, he retired from the Kellogg Company. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother John E. Boakes and wife of 58 years, Marguerite Boakes. He is survived by his brother Everett Boakes of Marshall, two daughters: Cheryl Hickmott of Farmington, NM and Beverly Leimer of Lascassas,TN; three grandchildren: Brenda Hunley, Shanin Garvey, and Brittany Leimer; three great grandchildren: Cory and Brian Hunley, and Meghan Garvey. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with Rev. Larry T. Messer of the Battle Creek Bible Church officiating.
