Dolores A. Ronan, Age 81, Of Battle Creek, Dolores A. Ronan was born on June 15, 1935 in Battle Creek, MI where she continued to live for most of her life. Dee, as everyone knew her, had many talents. She worked for Bell Telephone, Ermisch Travel, EPI Printing, The Shopper, as a real-estate agent and even helped to plan a residential development around Alwyn Downs Golf Course. Her family and friends were blessed by her culinary skills, her panache for entertaining, and knack for making things beautiful. She was actively involved in many social organizations including Friends of the Orchestra, Battle Creek Home Show, and American Airlines Fair Ladies. She had a lifelong love for the arts and frequented symphonies, theaters, and art galleries throughout the world. Together with her husband of 40 years, Keith L. Ronan, she visited Egypt, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and most of Europe. Keith and Dee spent many winters in Arizona and Florida, and summers at their condo on Lake Michigan in South Haven. Later in life they made South Haven their respite, sharing countless sunset’s side-by-side from their deck. Dee is preceded in death by her parents, Lavere David Young and Josephine Estabrook (Sherman); her first husband, Franklin Richard Dillon; and her husband Keith Louis Ronan. She is survived by her sister, Jo Ann Beattie; son Mark (Mary) Dillon; step-children, Anne (Larry) Heathcote, Cynthia (Terry) Spaulding, and Kenneth (Christina) Ronan; grandchildren, Aubrey (Pedro) Lopez, Ashley Dillon, and Rachel Spaulding; great-grandchildren Margaret, Allison, Ashton, Brendan; and beloved niece, Kari (Kari) Beattie. A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 2, 2016 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service.
