Dolores Marie Eichler, age 92, of Battle Creek, died Saturday, May 1, 2021 at the Advantage Living Center in Battle Creek where she had resided for the past five years. She was born May 24, 1928 in Dowagiac, Michigan the daughter of Samuel Ferman and Dorilda D. (White) Shriver. Dolores was a 1946 graduate of Hastings High School and moved to Battle Creek to work as a bookkeeper. She met her husband Alan W. Eichler in the lobby of Michigan National Bank in downtown Battle Creek and they were married on May 27, 1950. Dolores had been a member of Hope Church of the Nazarene and First Wesleyan Church but most recently attended Cornerstone Community Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter Dawn Alexander, a son Gary Eichler and her three brothers: A. Samuel, Rodney and Richard Shriver. Dolores is survived by three children: Randy (Kay) Eichler of Odell, Illinois, Danny (Aneta) Eichler of Charlotte, Tennessee, and Myrna (James) Ryan of Ellenton, Florida; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. A Graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Beckley Cemetery with her son-in-law, Rev. James Ryan officiating.
