Dianne L. Powers

Dianne L. Powers, age 83, of Battle Creek, died Sunday, July 9, 2023. She was born March 13, 1940, in Marshall, Michigan the daughter of Frederick Charles and Dorothy Pansy (Parker) Robinson. Dianne enjoyed working with children, which was reflected in her employment at Lakeview Schools for over 20 years as a bus driver and as a paraprofessional in both Territorial and Westlake Elementary schools. She loved all animals and especially loved spending time with her family. On March 20, 1958, Dianne was married to Thomas James Powers in Battle Creek, who survives. She is also survived by two sons: Thomas J. Powers, Jr. of Buchanan, MI, and Jeffrey (Debbie) Powers of Battle Creek; four grandchildren: Brent (Karie) Powers of Vicksburg, Douglas (Shruti) Powers of East Chicago, IN, Mathew (Cheri) Powers of Portage, MI and April (Jasen) Tippie of Clinton Township, MI; and three great-grandchildren: Zoey, Abby and Aiden Powers. Dianne was preceded in death by a son Michael Mark Powers, her sister Barbara Powers, and her parents. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Dianne’s life will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home and Cremation Services. A private interment will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery at a later date.
