Dianna J. Carey, age 73, of Battle Creek passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020. She was born January 25, 1947 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Fred and Audrey (Tanner) Kendall. Dianna was a 1965 graduate of Gull Lake Community Schools, Kellogg High School. After her twin daughters started school, she became involved in her family business and has owned and operated Radio Communications for over 40 years. She grew up on Gull Lake and loved the water and especially loved going to Frankfort and spending time on Lake Michigan. She was also an avid quilter, enjoyed knitting, reading, and loved to cook for family and friends. She had a heart to serve people in need and for many years volunteered with many local groups and ministries including cooking for the Share Center. She was active in a local quilt group and blessed with special friendships she made over the years. She was proud of her family and always supported her loved ones with a word of wisdom and a listening ear. She treasured her grandchildren and was supportive of their interests and activities. Dianna is survived by her daughters: Kristin (Chuck) Truex and Jennifer (Jeff) Decker; four granddaughters whom she loved dearly, Avery and Camryn Truex, Paige and Laine Decker; her two beloved dogs, Ben and Alex; Jim and Linda Neely and her other treasured friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 23, 2020 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with a private funeral service to be held at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Memorial Park Cemetery. In following the State of Michigan guidelines for Covid-19, the funeral home is limited to 25 persons at a time and those attending must wear a mask. Memorial contributions may be directed to Haven Ministries or Humane Society of South-Central Michigan.
