Diane Orton

Diane N. Orton, age 65 of Battle Creek, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012 at the Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Residence. She was born September 19, 1947 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Byron K. and Catherine May (Clark) Orton. Diane worked for many years at Michigan Bell Telephone Company and later managed adult foster care homes. Surviving is her brother: Gene (Phyllis) Orton of Portage; several nieces and nephews; and close friends: Ruth Bayn, Mary Maison, Peggy Weipert, Marge Yother and Annette Zalner. Diane was preceded in death by her parents; brother Brian Orton and sister-in-law Jackie Orton. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Memorial Park Cemetery. Diane had a love for her animals and would want for any memorial donations to be made to the Humane Society of South Central Michigan, 2500 Watkins Road, Battle Creek, MI 49015.
