Debra Jung

Debra Kay Jung, age 52 of Battle Creek, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013. She was born August 11, 1960 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Jerry and Diane (Hoagland) Ryan. Debra was an active member of First Wesleyan Church where she led many women’s and youth groups. She volunteered at Safe Place, was an avid reader and continued to pursue her Bachelor’s Degree throughout her fight with cancer and was very close to achieving her degree in Social Work. Surviving are her sons: Christopher Jung and Jeremy Parker; daughter-in-law: Kira McLeod Jung; two grandsons: Trenton and Gavin Jung; sister: Kelli Ryan; brother: Randy Ryan; and two nephews: Devan Ryan and David Ross. Debra was a mother to all. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at First Wesleyan Church with visitation one hour prior to the service.
