Dawn Yettaw

Dawn Manette Yettaw, age 69, of Battle Creek, passed away Friday, February 10, 2023, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. She was born August 24, 1953 in Long Beach, California the daughter of Dixie Lee (Buum) Thompson. Dawn moved to Charlotte, Michigan at an early age and graduated from Charlotte High School. She worked at the Eaton Medical Care Facility for ten years and Peckham Industries for five years. She enjoyed crossword puzzles with the help of her husband, studying the Bible, participating in Life Groups at Victory Life Church and was an avid watcher of the Ion Channel. On August 24, 2013, in Charlotte she married Francis A. Yettaw who survives. She is also survived by her daughter: Patty Matarazzo; son: Billie Sanborn; two stepdaughters: Jaymi Yettaw and Samantha (Matt) Scholten; two granddaughters: Ashley Matarazzo and Ellie Scholten; two grandsons: Jordan Olin and Isiah Scholten; and three great-grandchildren. Dawn was preceded in death by her parents,  her sister Deborah Hathaway and son-in-law Bruce Matarazzo. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Pastor Ralph Cates of Victory Life Church officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and also one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
