David Steger

David Hugh Steger age 82, of Battle Creek, Michigan passed away on March 22, 2017 in the company of his wife of 53 years.  He was born and raised in Hudson, Michigan.  David graduated from Hudson High School, attended Adrian College, Greenbrier Military Academy, and Michigan State University.  David was united in marriage on October 12, 1963 to Jacqueline A. Hafner in Hudson, Michigan.  He was employed for forty years in the field of Education; Delta (Ohio) Public Schools, St. Philips Catholic High School, and Lakeview Public Schools for thirty two years.   He worked for the Kellogg Cereal City Museum in Battle Creek for eight years following his retirement.  David is survived by his wife; Jacqueline A. Steger of Battle Creek, daughter; Sarah Steger, son; Stephen (Kristi Dahms) Steger; four grandchildren; Sawyer M. and Brynn E. Kline, Abigail and Anna Steger.  Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m., and 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home, with a reciting of the rosary at 7:00 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 27, 2017 at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Fr. Jose’ Haro, Celebrant.  Private burial to take place at Calvary Cemetery, Hudson, Michigan.  Memorial contributions may be directed to the Great Lakes Hospice Care, Alzheimer’s Association, or the Lakeview Kiwanis Club.  Condolences for the family may be left at www.henryfuneralhome.org
