David G. Mulder, age 66, of Battle Creek, passed away on February 20, 2019 at the Rose Arbor Hospice Residence in Kalamazoo. He was born on April 3, 1952 in Richland, Michigan, the son of Donald and Kathryn (Bartlett) Mulder. David graduated from Lakeview High School in 1970, then went on to get his Associates Degree in Science from Kellogg Community College. He was united in marriage on June 30, 1973 to Mary Benko at St. Philips Catholic Church. David previously worked for the Miller- Davis Company, Custom Millwork, and Michigan Woodwork before starting his own company, David Mulder Circular Stairs, which he owned from 1983 to 2010. After being self-employed, David continued to work part time for the Calhoun County Treasurer doing property maintenance and lawncare. He loved the outdoors, especially gardening and animals. David was preceded in death by his sister, Sally (Mulder) Nettke in 2005. Surviving are his wife; Mary Mulder of Battle Creek, sons; Gordon (Larry) Mulder of Orange County, California, Davis Mulder of Battle Creek, and his step-father; Robert (Kathryn) Crozier of Battle Creek. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 25, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services, where the Reciting of the Rosary will take place at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at the funeral home, Pastor Chad Parmalee officiating, with entombment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Condolences may be left for the family at www.henryfuneralhome.org
