David Leonard

David R. Leonard, 72, of Battle Creek passed away Saturday February 4, 2012 at Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Residence. He was born on January 16, 1940 in Battle Creek to Frank R. and Dorothy O. (Fehrlen) Leonard. David graduated from Lakeview High School in 1958. He served in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1964. David was employed by Michigan Millers Insurance Company for 32 years, retiring in 2000. He is survived by his sister, Patricia K. Leonard, of Niles, a daughter, Lyndia Lee Leonard, a nephew, Joseph Leonard, and nieces Kaitlin, Kylie, and Deirdre Leonard. David was preceded in death by his parents. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel with Rev. David Morton officiating.  Family will receive friends one half hour before services at the cemetery chapel. Entombment will follow at Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be given to Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Residence.
