David Hall, Sr.

David Alan Hall Sr., age 67, of Battle Creek, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2014. He was born January 1, 1947 in Battle Creek, Michigan the son of William and Martha (Nolan) Hall and brother to Steven Hall.
While serving in the US Army, stationed in Germany, he became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. After his return to the states, he met and married for time and all eternity Trudy (Dyer) Hall. Married for 44 years, they were blessed with five children; Xenia McKay, Teryl Hall, David Hall Jr., Aleia Cadieux, and Joshua Hall, and four grandchildren: Zachary Cadieux, Wyck, Embeth and Eloise Hall. He enjoyed his time with family and the church, and was happiest when he was serving his Lord.
He worked for General Motors as a skilled tradesman for 38 years, was a member of the Southwest Michigan Scottish Society and a lifetime member of DAV chapter 7. A love of nature and the outdoors lead him to be actively involved with The Boy Scouts of America. A man of honor, he always strove to give the best of himself and never stopped learning. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1312 Capital Avenue, S.W. with interment to follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the service time at the church. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Battle Creek Ward Boy Scout Troop #314.
