Darline D. Hardish, age 89, of Battle Creek, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at Glenn Arbor Place. She was born on March 26, 1932, in Decorah, Iowa, the daughter of William and Golda (Meyer) Drallmeier. Darline graduated from Rice Lake High School. She previously lived in Albion, Michigan before making her home in Battle Creek for over 60 years. She was united in marriage on March 16, 1951, to Richard E. Hardish, he preceded her in death on April 8, 2021. Darline was employed by B.C. Building Trades Credit Union as a manager before retiring in 1985. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She enjoyed baking, traveling, and going to the casino. She was often the organizer for family functions and was known to many as Mother Superior. Darline was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters; Geraldine Drallmeier and Eva Schieffer, and a brother; Louis Drallmeier. She is survived by her children; Michael (Christine) Hardish of Battle Creek, James (Laveta) Hardish of Battle Creek, Julie Adams of Dewitt, MI., Mary Riley of Battle Creek, eight grandchildren: Nicole, Brian, Max, Kimberly, Amy, Jamie, Cody and Allyson; seven great grandchildren: Hannah, Meghan, Addison, Chance, Alannah, Brooke and Jozlyn; and one great-great grandchild on the way; along with several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Faith Baptist Church, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Pastor Roy Henry officiating. Following the service, a lunch will be provided. Private interment will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Darline’s memory to Glenn Arbor Place.
