Darla Marie Milnes

Darla Marie (Ughetti) Milnes, age 86, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2025, in her home surrounded by family.

Darla was born in Battle Creek, Michigan, to Dario and Mary Ughetti on October 10, 1938. She went to high school at St. Phillip Catholic High School and graduated in 1956. She worked as a purchasing agent for Clark Equipment for 36 years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, thrift shopping, garage sales, and most of all spending time with her family. She volunteered at Marian E. Burch Adult Day Care Center and taught knitting and crocheting for several years.

Darla is survived by her two sons Bruce II (Krista) Milnes of Battle Creek, Michigan; Jeffrey (Bridgette) Milnes of Caledonia, Michigan; a brother, Carlo Ughetti (Bobbie Hardy); her grandchildren Bruce Milnes III (Trae), Hanna (Kale) Alexander, and Clay (Gabrielle) Milnes; her great-grandchildren, Addisyn, Aubree, Harper, Gage, Sawyer, and one on the way.

Darla was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Milnes; her parents, Dario and Mary Ughetti; and her sister, Nancy Sprague.

She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but we know she is now pain free and reunited with loved ones in heaven.
