Dale Coffman

Dale L. Coffman, age 77, of Springfield, passed away Friday, July 25, 2014. He was born May 22, 1937 in Battle Creek, Michigan the son of Dale Wilson and Christina Frances (Kaufman) Coffman. Dale graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1956 and went on to own/operate the Coffman Printing Company from 1960 to 1997. He loved to go “Up North”, fish and play cards. On December 23, 1964 he was married to Cheryl R. Smith, who survives. Also surviving is their son: Carl Leroy (Rhonda) Coffman; Dale’s Children: Dale (Diana) Coffman Jr., Christina (Dale) Elsass and Laura Dennis; Cheryl’s Children: Ron (Patty) Nelson, Teresa Sleight, Larry “Jay” (Dana) Corkins and Edward Corkins; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Dorothy Hoover-Faul and brother Gerald (Larys) Coffman. Dale was preceded in death by his parents. The family will receive friends at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Urbandale Baptist Church, 19 Geiger Avenue on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Reese Cemetery.
