Connie L. DeLong, age 76, of Nokomis, Florida and formerly of Battle Creek, passed away December 12, 2021, with her daughters by her side. She was born August 22, 1945, in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Charles A. and Ann (Finkbiner) Cooper. Connie was a 1963 graduate of Lakeview High School. She had worked at L.W. Robinsons, F.W. Woolworths, Nottkes Bowl in the nursery, HMO West, Union Pump and sold Mary Kay Cosmetics. On June 27, 1964, she married Leon W. DeLong. Connie enjoyed bowling, camping, gardening, drumming with the Nokomis Drum Circle and her grandchildren. She was a member of the American Legion Post 159 Auxiliary in Venice, Florida. Connie was preceded in death by her husband and parents. She is survived by two daughters: Tanya L. Mizga (James) of Eaton Rapids, and Annette M. Dyer (Mario Aleman) of Battle Creek, and four grandchildren: Max N. Budd of Ormand Beach, FL., Raymond D. Budd of Battle Creek, MI. and Alana K. Dyer of Kalamazoo, MI., and Carson J. Dyer of Battle Creek, MI. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held Monday, June 27, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery.
