Connie Becker

Connie Jo Becker, age 75, of Battle Creek, died March 3, 2022 at her residence.  She was born on May 9, 1946 in Battle Creek, the daughter of Eugene and Opal (Dragroo) Newman.  Connie graduated from Lakeview High School in 1964 and went on to receive her Associates Degree from Kellogg Community College.  She was employed as a secretary at the Battle Creek Federal Center for 32 years, retiring in 1992.  Connie was a member at St. Joseph Catholic Church.  She enjoyed gardening, taking her dog, “Cowboy” for walks, and spending time with her family.  Connie loved shopping for clothing to add to her wardrobe.  She was united in marriage on March 11, 1972 to Richard Becker, he survives.  Also surviving are her twin brother; John Newman and brother; Larry (Diana) Newman, all of Battle Creek.   She was preceded in death by her parents, sister in law;  Barbara Newman, and nephew; Todd Newman.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services, with the Recitation of The Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 10, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fr. Christopher Ankley, Celebrant.  Interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.  Memorial contribution in Connie’s memory may be made to St. Jospeh Catholic Church.  Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.henryfuneralhome.org
