Clara Hendricks

Clara J. Hendricks, age 87, of Battle Creek, passed away Thursday May 19, 2016. She was born August 18, 1928 in Kalamazoo, Michigan the daughter of John and Pearl (Osborn) Hendrick. Clara was a 1947 graduate of Lakeview High School and a member of the first graduating class from the nursing program at Kellogg Community College. She had worked at Lakeview General Hospital, Leila Hospital and Community Hospital. Clara loved to play Bingo and cards with her friends at Springview Towers. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting and knitting. She is survived by her son: John Glenn (Marie) Hendricks of West Virginia; three grandchildren: Heather (James) Boldrey, MJ Ninia Hendricks and Xian Hendricks; one great-grandson: Colin Sopko; sister-in-law: Agnes Hendrick and many nieces and nephews. Clara was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; Leslie Hendrick, Raymond Hendrick,  Arthur Hendrick.  Sister; Ila Hendrick and her foster parents: Glenn and Frankie Tappen.
