He graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1946 and was honorably discharged from the United States Army in 1947 after serving at Fort Eustis, Virginia. He attended the Parsons Business School in Battle Creek and was hired at Carton and Container in 1950. He worked at Carton and Container for 36 years, rising to Sales Manager, until his retirement in 1986. Charles is survived by two sons, Mark Sullivan of Wausau, WI and Dan (Jo) Sullivan of Houston, TX; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Joseph and two sisters, Mary Jane and Ruth.
