Charles M. Locke, age 65, of Battle Creek, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2017. He was born October 12, 1952 in Battle Creek, Michigan the son of Robert Mercer and Helen L. (Morrow) Locke. Chuck was a 1969 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School and worked at Columbia Cleaners for many years. He was a member of First Baptist Church where he sang in the choir. Chuck is survived by his brothers: Brett and Robert Locke, sister Louise Tappan; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Interment will be held 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Memorial Park Cemetery with visitation from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Charles led a very special life, challenged by boyhood brain trauma. Despite his limitations he blessed those around him with uplifting gifts of compliments and thankfulness.
