Charles A. Heinrich, 80 of Battle Creek, died Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at his home. He was born February 4, 1931 in Battle Creek, Michigan the son of William A. and Mildred (Campbell) Heinrich. He was a 1949 graduate of Lakeview High School and married his high school sweetheart, Joanne L. (Kloack) on September 2, 1950. Charles served in the Army National Guard and Army Reserve for three years. In 1991 he retired from the Kellogg Company after 30 years of service in the warehouse and prior to that was a brakeman for Grand Trunk Railroad. He was a member of the Kellogg 25 Year Club. Charles loved to be with his family; he was a “jack of all trades” and could fix anything. He also enjoyed playing golf and watching sports. Surviving are his wife: Joanne L. Heinrich of Battle Creek; two children: William Allen Heinrich and Beth Ann Heinrich both of Battle Creek; six grandchildren: William Aaron (Shar) Heinrich, Michael Allen (Kimberly) Heinrich, Charles Allen Heinrich, Heather Joy (David) Duguid, Nathaniel Bruce Heinrich and Zachary Lee Armand Heinrich; five great-grandchildren: Malachi, Austin, Cheyenne, Jake and Mitchell; brother: Raymond Heinrich of Battle Creek; sister: Joan (Dick) Duncan of Sherwood as well as several nieces and nephews.
