Charles Budd

Died Thursday, November 15, 2018, at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall. Bob was born on January 8, 1943, in Topeka, IL, the son of Harold R. and Lorraine M. (White) Budd. He was a graduate of Lakeview High School and Joined the U.S. Navy from 1961 to 1965 and was a meteorologist in the Navy. On June 25, 1966, he was united in marriage to the former Lee Anna Stephan who survives. Bob worked at General Motors in Lansing as a safety coordinator from which he retired. He was a committeeman for Local 652 and a health and safety representative. He loved to bowl and was secretary of Senior Bowling Leagues at M-66 Bowl and Nottke’s Bowl.  He also served on the Calhoun County Millage Committee. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing and telling stories about Big Jack Wygant that was featured in Lansing Monthly Magazine. After retiring he worked 10 years at the PS Store in Tekonsha. He is survived by his “Wicked” step-mother, Ginny Budd and Paul Vaughn; his children, James Michael “Mike” Budd of Okemos, Patricia Marie Budd of Mason and Jackson Bovel “Jack” (Anne) Budd of Lansing; 4 grandchildren, Ashley Nicole Smith, Amanda Marie Smith, Morgan Molestke and Robert Budd-Kidd and 2 great grandchildren; James Michael Smith and Maddilynn Gene Oliver; a brother, Walter Budd of Hobbs, NM; a brother-in-law, Donald Stephan of Battle Creek. Visitation will be held Sunday from 3 to 6:00 p.m., at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 19, 2018, at the funeral home.  Memorials may be directed to MediLodge of Marshall, 879 E.
