Charles “Steve” Brady, age 73, of Dowling, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2019 at his home surrounded by family. He was born April 3, 1946, the son of Charles Brady and Marian (Pearson) Opala in Battle Creek, graduating from Pennfield schools in 1965. Steve was employed as a meat cutter, retiring from Felpausch Foods after 41 years in the grocery business. Steve was a devoted cross bow and shotgun deer and turkey hunter and loved “getting along” in his trustworthy 4-wheeler visiting the neighbors to see how everybody was doing. Steve is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda (DeLano) Brady; daughters: Mindy (Dan) Marko and Jodie (Mike) Wyatt; sons: Steve Eberhard and Steve (Melissa) Brady; nine grandchildren: Jared Wyatt, Justin Wyatt, Amanda Lambert, Marcus Thompson, Alyssia Thompson, Sara Alender, Shayne Alender, Brent Clawson and Alex Marko, and eleven precious great-grandchildren; step-sister Karen (Daryl) Booy; sister-in-law Oly DeLano, many nieces and nephews along with special friends Dan and DeAnna Wallace and Ken and Donna Lambeth. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Ken DeLano, niece Angela Booy and grandparents Carl and Dora Pearson. A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 16, 2019 at Pleasantview Family Church, 2601 Lacey Road, Dowling with Pastor Steve Olmstead officiating.
