Cecil V. (Sommers) Baker, born December 4, 1913 in Manchester, Iowa passed away peacefully January 9, 2013 at the age of 99 years old. She was the daughter of William and Florence Sommers. Cecil was married to Rosslyn Baker in November of 1932, he preceded her in death June 1999 after 67 years of marriage.
She enjoyed her ministry, teaching others about Jehovah and his Kingdom. Cecil also enjoyed her family and friends, reading, flowers, and working in the garden.
She is survived by her son, LaVern (Shirley) Baker, of TN; a daughter, Evelyn Clark, of Battle Creek, a daughter-in-law, Karen Baker, of CO; eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Cecil was also preceded in death by a son, Robert, a brother, Lloyd and wife, Marian Sommers, a brother, Dean Sommers, and a sister, Doris and husband, Roland Knapp.
Visitation will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm Saturday at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held 5 pm Sunday January 13, 2013 at Harper Creek Kingdom Hall. Memorial contributions may be given to The World Wide Christian Work
