Cathy Lynne Lothamer, age 55 of Climax and South Haven, MI; passed away Friday April 17, 2015 at her home. She was born August 24, 1959 in Garden City, Michigan the daughter of William and Claudette (Moore) Tripp. Cathy was a 1977 graduate of Shelby High School in Shelby, Michigan and later attended Davenport University. Her work as a Doodlebugger took her all across the United States until she settled in Bellevue, Michigan in 1985. For the past 10 years, she has been a resident of the Climax and Battle Creek area and worked as a postal carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. She loved her home life and traveling with her soul mate Mark Stewart. Cathy enjoyed fishing, boating, antiquing, re-finishing furniture, arts and craft; but most of all she loved her children and grandchildren more than anything. Surviving are her four children: Sara Tripp of Kalamazoo, Rose Lothamer of Battle Creek, Emily Lothamer of Bellevue and William Lothamer; eight grandchildren; two sisters: Colette Tripp of West Bloomfield and her children, Michael and Ryan Zukoff, and Constance (Phil) Kostoff of West Bloomfield and their children, Liam Anderson, Katiana, Athena and Atanas Kostoff; fiancé: Mark Stewart of Climax and his children: Jesse (Cari) Stewart and Bethany (Kevin) Gallagher; brother-in-law: Gary Stewart and her former husband: Jerry Lothamer. Cathy was a 30 year member of the Alano Club, was a board member of the Boatyard Basin Marina and the Moose Lodge in South Haven. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a service to celebrate her life will be held 1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 26, 2015 at the Alano Club of Battle Creek, 1125 West Territorial Road, Battle Creek, MI 49015. www.henryfuneralhome.org
